Earlier this week, winter pretended it was spring, and Abe stayed home sick from school. It was too beautiful to be inside. So, we occupied the patio while working over balsa wood and sticks with our knives. We also gave our new wood burning tool a singe. I kept giggling to myself how silly it is to carve a snake from a stick. I might as well not have any imagination at all. Taking that time outside allowed me to notice the snow drops blooming. It's unfortunate that the very next day, they were covered in actual snow.
